- LOAD Menu: FILES
- ==============================================================================
- Copies a specified file into the default working file NEW.
-
- 1. (CHAR) file name to load as NEW (1-8 char.), <ENTER>-dialog box
-
- Description
- This command copies a specified file into the default working file NEW. This
- enables you to keep the original model file unchanged (as a backup) and to
- work on a copy of the file.
-
- NOTE 1:It is recommended that you always work using this command rather than
- the \open command, and that you save your modifications at regular intervals
- (\save).
- NOTE 2: The newly-loaded file will overwrite the current contents of the file
- NEW or any other file (loaded by means of the \open command), therefore save
- the current file before using the \load command.
-
- Enter the name of the file to load or press <ENTER> to select from a list of
- files in a dialog box.
-
- If you try to load a non-existent file, you will be notified and prompted
- to specify another file name to load.
-
- If you press <ENTER>, a dialog box listing all the models in the current
- directory appears:
-
- The following buttons are available in the dialog box:
- Button Operation
- OK Load the current (highlighted) file
- CANCEL Exit the dialog box without execution
- RESET Cancel any changes and reset the initial path
-
- To load a model into the drawing editor, place the cursor on the desired model
- name and select OK, or double click on it using the mouse. The currently
- highlighted file and its directory path appear in the file line.
-
- To display a list of files in a directory, double click on the directory name
- in the model box.
-
- To return to a higher directory level, double click on ".." in the directory
- box.
-
- Since there are eight lines in the model and directory box, if there are more
- than eight items in the box the scroll bar will appear in order to scroll the
- list. To scroll by one line, click on the arrow at the top or bottom of the
- scroll bar.
-
- When using the dialog box in the DSG module only files with the prefix D$ can
- be loaded.
