  1. LOAD                                                               Menu: FILES
  2. ==============================================================================
  3. Copies a specified file into the default working file NEW.
  4.  
  5.          1. (CHAR) file name to load as NEW (1-8 char.), <ENTER>-dialog box
  6.  
  7. Description
  8. This command copies a specified file into the default working file NEW.  This
  9. enables you to keep the original model file unchanged (as a backup) and to
  10. work on a copy of the file.
  11.  
  12. NOTE 1:It is recommended that you always work using this command rather than
  13. the \open command, and that you save your modifications at regular intervals
  14. (\save).
  15. NOTE 2: The newly-loaded file will overwrite the current contents of the file
  16. NEW or any other file (loaded by means of the \open command), therefore save
  17. the current file before using the \load command.

  19. Enter the name of the file to load or press <ENTER> to select from a list of
  20. files in a dialog box.
  21.  
  22. If you try to load a non-existent file, you will be notified and prompted
  23. to specify another file name to load.

  25. If you press <ENTER>, a dialog box listing all the models in the current
  26. directory appears:

  28. The following buttons are available in the dialog box:
  29. Button   Operation
  30. OK       Load the current (highlighted) file
  31. CANCEL   Exit the dialog box without execution
  32. RESET    Cancel any changes and reset the initial path
  33.  
  34. To load a model into the drawing editor, place the cursor on the desired model
  35. name and select OK, or double click on it using the mouse.  The currently
  36. highlighted file and its directory path appear in the file line.

  38. To display a list of files in a directory, double click on the directory name
  39. in the model box.

  41. To return to a higher directory level, double click on ".." in the directory
  42. box.

  44. Since there are eight lines in the model and directory box, if there are more
  45. than eight items in the box the scroll bar will appear in order to scroll the
  46. list.  To scroll by one line, click on the arrow at the top or bottom of the
  47. scroll bar.

  49. When using the dialog box in the DSG module only files with the prefix D$ can
  50. be loaded.
