  3. Sets the active layer.

  5.          1.  (NUM) new layer (1-255)

  7. Description
  8. This command sets the active layer.
  9.  
  10. Enter a number between 1 and 255. If the requested layer is currently
  11. set to "off", it will be set to "on". Each entity subsequently added
  12. will belong to this layer.
  13.  
  14. This is particularly useful for complex structures where you might
  15. want to see or work on only certain parts of your model at one time.
  16.  
  17. The number of the active layer is displayed above the small line on
  18. the upper-right corner of the screen.
  19.  
  20. At the beginning of each work session the active layer is set to 1.
  21. All help lines are automatically created in layer 99.
