- SET COMMANDS
- ************
-
- These commands are used to set parameters connected with the drawing.
-
- The commands are:-
-
- PAGE:- Clears the viewport, preparing for more drawing
- operations. All current graphics attributes and
- specifications are retained.
- Selection with the LEFT puck button allows for a window
- to be specified such that entities outside the window
- will not be displayed or plotted (i.e. clipping limit).
- This window specification is current until cleared (by
- pressing the RIGHT button immediately after entering
- this option). The window specification can be stored
- on file for use during composition.
- SCALE:- Sets the scale for the drawing.
- TOLER:- Sets the tolerance (hit-radius) for pointer operations.
- This tolerance will be modified with ZOOMing to
- retain the definition in terms of screen units. The
- DEFAULT tolerance of 4 screen units (1 mm at 1:1)
- should be adequate for most purposes.
- RESOL:- The resolution on the drawing of circles/arcs/curves
- may be defined by the user. This definition will only
- have effect on circles/arcs defined as having more
- than 24 sides. Default resolution is 0.25 mm.
- AXES:- A new origin may be defined with translation and/or
- rotation. Co-ordinates of all points are to be
- modified. Position of the origin on screen can also
- be defined.
- REF:- REFerence points (0, 1 or 2) may be defined for sub-
- drawings. These reference points are used to define
- how to HANG the sub-drawing upon retrieval. If 0
- reference points are defined, the sub-drawing can
- only be retrieved as is. If 1 reference point is
- defined, the sub-drawing can be positioned. If 2
- reference points are defined, the sub-drawing can
- be scaled and rotated.
- UNITS:- Setting units to MM (Default), M, IN, FT or FT-IN. In
- the latter case, input unit is in INs. All internal
- storage are always in MM.
- If FRACTIONS option selected, all decimal output will
- be in fractions.
- GRID:- The X and Y grid spacings can be set to any value. The
- grid is used in SNAP mode (see MODE). Default is 10 mm.
- The grid may start from any user defined position.
- The grid can be at any angle to the global axes.
- Setting the grid activates the SNAP mode.
- HATCH:- Specifying the hatch line spacings.
- COLOR:- Altering the colour table. Intensity of the RED, GREEN
- and BLUE beams each represented by a two digit number.
- OFFST:- A pair of DOUBLE PRECISION (64 bits) co-ordinates
- can be specified as an off-set.
- PLOTR:- Initialize the on-line plotter. Can also write a plot
- file for off-line plotting.
- Selecting this option with the LEFT button will
- allow the user to minimize the responses required.
- CLEAR:- Clears the drawing. None of the graphics attributes
- or current specifications are to be retained.
