  75. Master Investor (MI) for Windows is a Portfolio Management and Technical
  76. Analysis program for individual investors, financial advisors and money
  77. managers.
  78.  
  79. MI includes comprehensive portfolio management for up to 1000 portfolios
  80. of stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, cash accounts, other assets and
  81. liabilities.  MI's 20+ reports provide complete tracking of security
  82. transactions, capital gains, unrealized gains, interest, dividends,
  83. reinvestments, net worth, asset allocation, etc.  The custom report
  84. generator allows creation of reports based any one or more portfolios.
  85. The ability to combine portfolios, such as all retirement (IRA, 401K,
  86. pension, etc.) portfolios, allows users to maintain the detailed records
  87. needed for tax purposes without loosing sight of the bottom line.

  89. MI includes extensive charting capabilities for performing technical
  90. analysis.  Users can create price/volume charts with moving averages, 
  91. stochastics, on-balance volume, relative strength index, MACD, trend
  92. analysis, ratio cantor and correlation analysis.  Other analyses include
  93. asset allocation, return-on-investment, return-on-value, portfolio IRR,

  97. price/volume data from a data provider and import the file to
  98. automatically update every chart and report.  MI can import quotes
  99. from over a dozen popular data sources including Yahoo,
  100. CompuServe, AOL and Prodigy.  MI also supports user defined import
  101. formats so new quote sources can easily be added.  Unlike other
  102. programs, MI doesn't lock users into a single data provider.

  119. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  121. Upgrading from an earlier version.
  122.  
  123. Before installing this version use your present version of
  124. MI to make a backup disk of your data.  In the File menu
  125. choose the Backup Data option to make the backup disk.  This
  126. is a precautionary measure.
  127.  
  128. During the installation process you will be prompted to
  129. choose either "Full Installation" or "Upgrade Installation."
  130. If you choose "Upgrade Installation" your present data files
  131. will be preserved.  If you accidently choose Full
  132. Installation, your present data files will be overwritten
  133. and you will need to choose the "Restore Data" option to
  134. restore your backup data for use with the new version.

  138. To prepare for installation, unzip the archive to a blank
  139. formatted floppy disk (1.4 Meg capacity or higher) or to an
  140. empty (scratch) directory on your hard disk.
  141.  
  142. To install MI, use the Program Manager or File Manager to
  143. start MiSetup.exe.  For example, if you are installing from drive A:
  144.  
  145. 1.   From the Program Manager File or Win95 Start menu,
  146.      choose Run.
  147. 2.   In the Run dialog box, type "a:\misetup" and choose OK.
  148.  
  149. The install program will allow you to select the drive and
  150. directory where MI will be installed.  The default is C:\MI.
  151. If you are reinstalling MI or installing an updated version,
  152. use the same directory where you originally installed the
  153. program.

  158. The data files shipped with MI contain sample data that is provided to
  159. help you become familiar with the various options and capabilities of MI.

  174. occurred and any supplemental data that you entered under
