- Post Office Protocol (POP) servers for NEXTSTEP 12-Aug-94
-
- The gzipped tar file, popper.src.tar.gz, contains sources for two
- separate versions of the popper Post Office Protocol (POP) server.
- One is the standard RFC-compliant Berkeley popper and the other is
- Qualcomm's slightly enhanced and altered version of the Berkeley
- popper. A few minor changes have been made to the sources to get them
- to compile under NS 3.2 The compilation and the servers have been
- tested on a NeXTstation running NS 3.2, but not exhaustively.
-
- Unpacking the file will create a directory called popper, with this
- README and two subdirectories:
- popper-1.83beta is the Berkeley version
- qpopper2.1.1 is the Qualcomm version
-
- Use Opener.app or
- % gunzip < popper.src.tar.gz | tar -xf -
-
- Look for README.next in each of the subdirectories.
-
- The binaries only can be found in a separate package.
