  9. The following switches can be used in the Ghost Multicast Server's 
  10. command line in order to enhance the automation and diagnostic process.

  12. This file is intended as a quick reference. Refer to Appendix B of the
  13. Norton Ghost User's Guide for full details. Additional information on

  53. Windows Ghost Multicast Server (GHOSTSRV.EXE) Command Line Switches

  55. The command line syntax is as follows:

  57. ghostsrv filename session [options]
  58.  
  59. where:
  60. filename        | path and filename of disk image file 
  61. session         | session name to use
  62.  
  63. and options:
  64.  
  65. -Ncount         | starts the multicast transmission after count clients
  66.                   have joined the session
  67. -Ttime          | starts sending to session automatically after 
  68.                   specified time (24 hour hh:mm format)
  69. -Ominutes       | Starts transmission 'minutes' after last connection.
  70. -Llevel         | creates log file with log level specified (E,S,W,I, or A)
  71. -Ffilename      | specifies log file for the -L option.
  72.                   (by default ghostlog.txt)
  73. -C              | closes ghostsrv application after multicast session 
  74.                   completion
  75. -D              | use dump from client mode (load to client is default)
  76. -Bn             | sets the multicast data buffer size to n MB
  77. -R              | restarts the multicast session on completion.
  78. -P              | specifies partition mode operation. If loading to 
  79.                   clients, the partition number must be given. If 
  80.                   dumping from client no partition number is required.

  83. DOS Ghost Multicast Server (DOSGHSRV.EXE) Command Line Switches

  85. The command line syntax is as follows:

  87. DOSGHSRV filename session [options]
  88.  
  89. Where:

  91. filename        | specifies the path and name of image file.
  92. session         | specifies the session name.
  93.  
  94. and options:
  95.  
  96. -D              | Dumps an image of the first client to connect to the 
  97.                   server to the image file indicated in filename.
  98. -P              | Partition load or dump. If loading to clients, the 
  99.                   partition number in the image file must be given. If
  100.                   dumping from a client no partition number needs to 
  101.                   be specified.
  102. -Ncount         | Starts the transmission when 'count' clients are 
  103.                   connected.
  104. -Ttime          | Starts the transmission at the 'time' specified 
  105.                   in 24 hour format.
  106. -Ominutes       | Starts transmission 'minutes' after last connection.
  107. -Bsize          | Sets the multicast data buffer size to 'size'MB
  108. -Llevel            | Produces multicast log 'rmllog.txt', where level 
  109.                   is A,I,W,S or E.
