- Each page in the diary section shows two days of the diary, and like the
- calendar section, it is easy to navigate between different dates.
-
- Each diary entry is given a title (eg: Birthday Party), and it is these
- titles that are shown on the main diary screen. Clicking on a title will
- give you more details on that entry (more on that in a minute).
-
- Going back to navigation - there are 4 icons on the main diary screen ...
-
- TODAY
- Wherever you are on the diary, clicking on this takes you back to today.
-
- GO TO ...
- Takes you to a specific date.
-
- FIND
- Asks you to enter a title (or part of a title) to search for in the diary.
-
- PRINT
- Prints out a copy of the entries you can see on-screen.
-
- To create a new entry, click on a blank space in the diary.
- A blank page will appear and you will be asked to enter a short title for
- the diary entry. You can then type in up to a page of text about that entry.
-
- There are 5 icons on the Diary Entry screen ...
-
- BIN IT
- Deletes the current diary entry - use with caution!
-
- PRINT IT
- Prints out the text for the current diary entry.
-
- ALERT
- You can tell Pro-Organiser to warn you that an event is approaching.
- For example, you might want reminding that it's your brothers birthday a
- week beforehand to give yourself time to buy a card. Click on the Alert icon,
- and a requester will appear. Select the amount of warning you want, and a
- small warning triangle will appear on the far left of the screen to indicate
- that the alert has been set. Whenever you load up Pro-Organiser, the program
- checks all the alerts to see if there is anything you need to know about that
- day.
-
- ANNIVERSARY
- Obviously some events (such as birthdays) do occcur on the same date each
- year. Clicking on this 'candle' icon, tells Pro-Organiser that the current
- event is an annual one, and that it should be automatically entered into
- the diary for that date every year.
-
- OK - DONE
- When you have finished entering the text and setting the alerts/anniversary
- modes (if any), click on OK to return to the main diary screen. You will
- now see that the event title has appeared in the diary.
-
- You can edit an existing diary entry in exactly the same way - just click on
- the title, and the previously entered text will appear. You can then edit it,
- print it, set up alerts or anniversaries just as you would if it were a new
- entry. Again, click on OK-DONE to return to the main diary screen.
