  596.   Ok, my friends now I`m back from Assembly. The last day of my summerholidays
  597.   and I`ll spend it by checking out all the wares I got from Assembly.
  598.   I DON`T HAVE all the wares, because they weren`t spreaded so well. Anyway
  599.   I`m planning to visit Splatterhead and get the best demos there. I will
  600.   now send you all the intros and a slide show from Abyss. Dudes, who swap
  601.   with more than two disks will get something else (demos) this time.
  602.   I tried to do a new issue of Sleeping Pack, but I couldn`t get it working.
  603.   There is some problem with the menu. It doesn`t work. Or maybe I did
  604.   something wrong. I haven`t done any packs in a half a year as you know.
  605.   Well maybe I can get it working later.
  606.   Now it`s time to start writing my report.

  608.                               ASSEMBLY REPORT
  609.                               ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

  611.   On the Assembly 94 everything was delayed and organising was lame. I was
  612.   hopeful to see a better party this time. On Asm94 many groups released
  613.   some awesome demos and intros so I was hoping see something cool this time
  614.   too.
  615.   As I began my trip the first news was that the train was runnning 15 minutes
  616.   late (that was a sign about the upcoming). Nothing that`s connected with
  617.   Assembly can`t be on it`s time. As I came to the party place, which was
  618.   easy to find like organisers told, there was already about 500 people
  619.   waiting before doors. Assembly was supposed to begin at 10.00, but the
  620.   doors were opened just before 11. This year Assembly was kept in 4 days,
  621.   which is lame, because competitions had a really long pauses between each
  622.   other. The fooding service was there, but it was really expensive. The
  623.   good thing this year was the Sleeping hall. It was a large room and it was
  624.   silence there. Good place to sleep.
  625.   The first day didn`t have any competitions. We just played games like
  626.   Sensible Golf/Soccer, Gloom and we watched latest demos... went to take
  627.   a walk at the town. I talked with all my contacts I could find. Many
  628.   of my finnish contacts were there, but the only foreign contact I could
  629.   find was Toxic/Abyss and we had a long nice talk. (Where were you?)
  630.   The second day had C64 competitions, which showed that the scene on
  631.   C64 is not the same as it was last year. There were ofcourse some cool
  632.   products, but the overall view left to me is that C64 had worse compos
  633.   than last year. Stll I think C64 rules!
  634.   On the third day there were intro, Music and Gfx competitions on both
  635.   PC and Amiga. I got bored, because all I was able to see were some
  636.   fuckin gourauds. Every intro had gourauds flying, except some real
  637.   lame intros, which would have done great position on the Assembly 92
  638.   I guess. PC and Amiga had exactly the same effects. Nothing new was
  639.   invented and people were bored.
  640.   The final day had Amiga and PC demo competitions and Animation competition.
  641.   Amiga and PC demos had some really boring gourauds. Eveyone had them.
  642.   The best demos on Amiga were from Parallax, Pygmy, Stellar, Fanatic and
  643.   Silents. PC demos are not worth to mention here. PC had same effects
  644.   as Amiga and maybe they looked better than on Aimga, but I got bored
  645.   with them. Animation compo was cool. I wonder who keeps these animations
  646.   on his HD. For instance the animation by Jaco/Virtual Dreams (made on
  647.   Amiga) needs 1,8 Gb of free space. Some crazy dude like Splatterhead/
  648.   Scoopex would propably download it from some BBS if it is possible.
  649.   I don`t have any results to show here, sorry, the prize giving ceremony
  650.   was delayed and I had a train to catch. When I came home I had a long
  651.   nice sleep and I could still see gourauds in front of my eyes.
  652.   Overall opinion: This was lamer than Asm94 and I`m not sure if I go there
  653.   next time. All compos were delayed and products had nothing new to show.
  654.   There were a lot of lamers, who had nothing to do with scene. I read from
  655.   a newspaper that there were 12500 visitors to Fair centre during this
  656.   weekend. That`s too much and 4 days is too long. 3 days would have been
  657.   enough. I won`t write any more about this shit now as I`m in a hurry
  658.   (like always) and you are propably bored to read this.

  1074.   CNCD is well known in the Amiga computer scene  and now they are about to
  1075.   release their first Compact Disk in ambient style through TRSi RECORDZ...
  1076.   The previews/demo tapes were VERY appreciated in the Finnish Techno Scene
  1077.   and the finished product will be distributed throughout whole Europe. The
  1078.   official presentation will be at THE PARTY  1995 in Denmark, lasting from
  1079.        the 26th of December 1995 onwards to the 29th of December 1995.
