  20.     The Amiga is dying a slow, painful death. Take a look around you;
  21. about one game a month is being released (if that - the last issue of One
  22. for Amiga did not even have ONE game review); developers are pulling out of
  23. the Amiga market because it isn't even worth the hassle to release a game
  24. for the Amiga anymore - they don't make any money; ELSPA/Chart-Attack want
  25. to get rid of the Amiga games chart. Just go into any game shop and see
  26. how much space they reserve for the Amiga now, its a laugh, not a threat to
  27. other machines, and its NOT because it isn't powerful enough. The new range
  28. of Amigas are NOT all of a sudden going turn the fate of the Amiga around!
  29. Why on earth should everyone go out and buy a machine that has one game a
  30. month (if you're lucky) released for it? Remember the Atari Jaguar? It was
  31. set to save the sagging Atari market -- well ahead of its time, the hardware
  32. was good -- but there was NO software support from big companies. It is now
  33. a laugh.
  34.     WE are the only Amiga market left. The BBs and Internet users are
  35. all thats left, apart from the odd owner here and there, but they don't
  36. make enough to keep any sort of market going. WE need to try and get big
  37. companies interested in the Amiga again -- or history will just repeat
  38. itself and the new hardware will die fast. Everyone is talking about the
  39. Sony Playstation, the Sega Saturn and are eagerly awaiting the Nintendo-64
  40. but the ONLY people who are talking about the new Amigas are current Amiga
  41. owners; US! We need to get other people without Amigas interested in the
  42. Amiga again -- and that is only going to happen when we've got software
  43. support and an Amiga market.
  44.     In order to get big companies interested in the Amiga we need to
  45. all go out and buy ten amiga games each! Well, oK, that would do it, but im
  46. not sure we've all got that amount of cash floating around (I know I
  47. havn't). The only realistic way WE (I say WE, because WE are ALL the Amigas
  48. got) are going to get Big Software Companies and Developers interested in
  49. the Amiga, and get the Amiga back on her feet, is to temporarily stop all
  50. piracy. Now I know you've all heard this before BUT this is different.
  51. Stopping Piracy until the Amiga market is flourishing again, and BUYING the
  52. games you REALLY want WILL make a difference. Apart we are nothing BUT
  53. TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Just everyone out there stopping
  54. downloading Wares and Buying the few games that they Want WILL Really make
  55. a BIG difference! I absolutely Guarantee it.
