  13.     MyFamily 2.0 is a full featured software package designed for the
  14. maintenance of genealogical records and family histories.  The program
  15. is menu driven and very easy to learn and to use.  MyFamily 2.0 contains
  16. features normally found only in expensive commercial packages.  MyFamily
  17. produces ancestor and descendant charts, individual and family sheets,
  18. event sheets, missing information sheets, various lists, blank forms, and
  19. a statistical report.  A Query Builder enables the user to easily perform
  20. complex data queries.  Reports may be viewed on screen, printed, or saved
  21. to disk.  Additional features include macro keys, free form comment text,
  22. calendar utility, copying of selected records, and an easy data backup
  23. routine.  You may also copy, delete, rename, or view files without leaving
  24. MyFamily. There are no limits placed on the number of children, previous
  25. marriages, or generations entered. A sample genealogy file SAMPLE.DBF is
  26. included on the program diskette so that you may easily try out the
  27. program's various features.

  30. Improvements Over Previous Version

  32.     New features in version 2.0 include faster program operation, capability
  33. of storing multiple events for each individual.  Each event contains a date
  34. and a description of the event.  A Query Builder has been added to allow
  35. complex queries to be easily constructed on various fields using logical
  36. and/or combinations.  A Show option in the Query Builder allows the user
  37. to see which records match the Query as it is being constructed.  Additional
  38. new reports include the Query Listing, Event Sheet,  Missing Information,
  39. a Life Span/Death Cause listing, and a Statistical report.  All reports may
  40. now be viewed on screen (improved file viewer with text search capability),
  41. printed or saved to disk.  An improved File Manager allows the user to
  42. display/select from a disk directory listing, change path/mask for the
  43. directory, and copy, rename, or delete files. MyFamily 2.0 includes many
  44. cosmetic changes including improved use of color, shadowing, dialog boxes,
  45. and in general easier operation.
