  12.      System requirements:
  13.      
  14.       ▐    - IBM PC/XT/AT computer
  15.       ▐    - 640 Kbyte memory
  16.       ▐    - CGA, EGA, VGA or HERCULES graphics card
  17.       ▐    - at least 1Mbyte disc space (on hard disk, if possible)
  18.       ▐    - MS-DOS (3.0 or later version) operating system 
  19.  
  20.      First of all you should create a new directory for the program,
  21. for example:
  22.      
  23.       ▐    - on the C drive  
  24.       ▐    - in the PHISICS directory
  25.       ▐    - as PERIDEMO            
  26.  
  27.      Just type:
  28.  
  29.       ▐    - C:          <Enter>
  30.       ▐    - CD PHISICS  <Enter>
  31.       ▐    - MD PERIDEMO <Enter>
  32.       ▐    - CD PERIDEMO <Enter> 
  33.       
  34.      Try PKUNZIP.EXE program (1.01 or later version) to unzip the demo file.
  35.       
  36.      After using PKUNZIP, the names of the new files will be  shown  on  the
  37. screen. When they are ready, the DOS prompt will appear again:

  39.       ▐    C:\PHYSICS\PERIDEMO
  40.  
  41.      By this time the system becomes usable. You will be told  now,  how  to 
  42. use it: You can start the  program  by  typing  its  name.  If  the  current 
  43. directory is which the PERIDEMO.EXE and the other necessary  files  are  in, 
  44. you can simply type
  45.  
  46.       ▐    PERIDEMO   Enter
  47.  
  48.      After starting you can control the program by  a menu system: Pressing
  49.  
  50.       ▐    -   Up  or  Down  you can position the highlight,
  51.       ▐    -   Enter   you can choose the highlighted point,
  52.       ▐    -   Esc   you can go back to the previous menu.

  54.      To input a string use
  55.  
  56.       ▐    -   Left and Right key to position the cursor
  57.       ▐    -   Insert to toggle insert mode
  58.       ▐    -   Home and End to go to the end of the string        
  59.       ▐    -   Enter to accept the text
  60.       ▐    -   Esc to leave input
  61.       
  62.      Using the HELP you can press             
  63.  
  64.       ▐    -   PgUp and PgDn to watch next/previous page
  65.       ▐    -   Esc to leave HELP
  66.       
  67.      Try DIRECTORY function to look for your files
  68.       
  69.       ▐    -   PgUp and PgDn for pagination
  70.       ▐    -   Up and Down to quick-search
  71.       ▐    -   Left and Right to position highlight                   
  72.       ▐    -   Enter to choose a file
  73.       ▐    -   Esc to leave this option
  74.       
  75.      Re-playing a film you can use the following buttons 
  76.       
  77.       ▐    -   Up and Down to change the playing speed
  78.       ▐    -   Esc to finish re-playing
  79.  
  80.      This is only a demonstartion of PERIYODA, so most of  the  menu  points 
  81. are out of use. When choosing them, a HELP text will appear on the middle of 
  82. the screen. You can force this HELP for the other points by pressing   F1  .
  83. The working points are the following:
  84.  
  85.       ▐    - FILE SERVICES\LOAD MOVIE: for loading a movie file into memory
  86.       ▐    - FILE SERVICES\DIRECTORY: for searching the films
  87.       ▐    - FILE SERVICES\QUIT: for quiting the program
  88.       ▐    - PLAY MOVIE\FROM MEMORY: for playing a film that has been loaded
  89.       ▐    - PLAY MOVIE\FROM FILE: for loading a film and playing it at once
  90.  
  91.      All the films given with these programs have been created for EGA (VGA) 
  92. graphics card, so you will get an error message  when  playing  them  on  an 
  93. other one. To be able to play them, they must be converted. The  MOVCONV.EXE 
  94. program will help you, just type the name after the DOS prompt:

  96.       ▐    MOVCONV   Enter
  97.  
  98. You will be asked some questions:
  99.  
  100.       ▐    Input file: the to be converted file
  101.       ▐    Output file: the to  be  created  file  (must  be  different  from
  102.       ▐                 the previous one)
  103.       ▐    Target graphics card: the type of your graphics card
  104.  
  105. In the DEMO there are also some movie files:
