- Menu items are numbered sequentially from one. A selection is made by
- typing in the number of the item. Alternatively the arrows can be used to move
- up or down and Enter typed to select.
-
- Return from a menu to the previous one is by typing Esc.
-
- You do not have to wait for a menu to appear before making a selection: once
- you know your way around the menu structure you can type a series of characters
- to select the items in the order required e.g. it is common to type a lot of
- Esc's to return to the highest menu.
-
- Function keys are also used:
-
- You can find yourself 'stuck" at main menus - use F8 to go up a level.
-
- When operating with 16 colour EGA and VGA cards the system usually does not
- redraw the map until you ask it to do so (so you can select several options
- before waiting for the new map to be drawn). Typng F3 regenerates the map.
-
- F10 stops the program.
-
- F1 gives help about the current menu.
