  1. User assistance is provided at every menu by typing function keys:
  2.  
  3. You should print out \ozgis\fnkeys.doc for a template that you can put
  4. on your keyboard.
  5.  
  6.  
  7. F1    presents "help" or informative messages about the menu items        
  8.       and describes the effect of selection of the items                  
  9.  
  10. F2    enables the menu to be removed so it does not obscure the display.
  11.       Esc will display it again.
  12.  
  13. F3    regenerates the map after parameters have changed.
  14.  
  15. F4    permits interrogation and maintenance of OzGIS files.           
  16.       A menu is presented with the following options:                     
  17.  
  18.                -  delete a file                                                 
  19.                -  interrogate the header of a file                              
  20.                -  generate a list of files.                                     
  21.  
  22. F6    permits the extent of user communication to be controlled.          
  23.       A menu with the following options is presented:                     
  24.  
  25.                -  turn user assistance messages on/off                          
  26.                -  turn trace messages from tasks on/off                         
  27.                -  turn the bell to signal cursor operation on/off             
  28.                -  turn on debug (useful for reporting errors)                   
  29.  
  30.       The default of the option for user assistance messages is "on"      
  31.       (i.e., that the messages are displayed).                            
  32.       The default of the option for trace messages depends on the module.
  33.       (it is useful for data entry and preparation)
  34.       The debug option is for system testing, but may be useful to trace
  35.       faulty data problems. Output goes to the print file OZGIS.OUT
  36.  
  37. F8    exits from the current menu to the last major menu, which           
  38.       depends on the stage of processing.                                 
  39.  
  40. F10   quit the OzGIS session.
