  1. FILE command N - New files list
  2.  
  3. This command will list files that have been added to RBBS-PC since a given
  4. date, or since the last time you checked the file list.
  5.  
  6. You will be prompted for a date after you give the "N" command. Enter the
  7. desired date in numerical format with no characters separating the month,
  8. day, and year. For example, "032090" would list files included on the
  9. system since March 20, 1990. Press [ENTER] at the date prompt to use the
  10. date you last checked for files.
  11.  
  12. Next, you will be asked for a directory to scan. Type in their name(s) or
  13. number(s) separated by spaces. You can scan all of the directories on
  14. the system by typing "A" at the prompt. Pressing [ENTER] will return you
  15. to the Files Menu.

  17. TIPS:
  18. 1.  You can obtain a list of directory names and numbers by using the "L"
  19.     command.
  20.  
  21. 2.  Using "ALL" may result in a time consuming search if the RBBS-PC system
  22.     contains many files.  You can save time by searching specific
  23.     directories.
  24.  
  25. 3.  You can stack the N)ew command with a date and category.  That is, you
  26.     can enter "N MMDDYY" (e.g., "N 032090"), or "N S" to specify files new
  27.     since you last checked, directly from the File Menu.  You will then be
  28.     asked for the directory you would like to scan.  You can also
  29.     pre-specify the directories to see.  E.g., "N 032090 COMM UTIL" lists
  30.     are files on or after 03-20-90 in directories COMM and UTIL.
