  12.         Jerry Stone, one of Londons most noted jockeys, was found dead
  13.         this morning behind the stables of the West London Cab Company.
  14.         Only two days ago Jerry won the Devonshire Stakes race while
  15.         riding Swift Wind.

  17.         Police have been questioning Marie Letour, Jerrys hot tempered
  18.         girlfriend, a Mr. Thomas Walling, Swift Winds owner, and Evin
  19.         Brandon a friend of Jerrys.  So far Scotland Yard is baffled as
  20.         to why Stone was murdered.

  22.         Among Jerrys possessions was found a note on Bank of England
  23.         stationary that read:

  106.         Jerry Stone was a real gambler.  He played poker several times a
  107.         week at the Dartmouth Hotel.  Recently he had incurred some heavy
  108.         losses to Mr. Martin Lindstrom who was the Vice President at the
  109.         Bank of England.
  110.  
  111.         When Jerry met Mr. Lindstrom on Friday morning, Mr. Lindstrom
  112.         told him that the debt would be considered payed if Jerry would
  113.         throw Sundays running of the Devonshire Stakes.  Jerry agreed and
  114.         Mr. Lindstrom bet heavily on Midnights Dream, the only other
  115.         horse with a chance to win it.

  117.         On Saturday, Jerry had a big fight with his girlfriend who was
  118.         against Jerry throwing the race.  They seperated after the heated
  119.         argument and that was the last time Marie saw Jerry.

  121.         On Sunday, the day of the race, Jerry decided that Marie was right
  122.         and that he would not throw the race after all and he went on to
  123.         win.  Lindstrom, who had lost a bundle, felt he had been double
  124.         crossed and decided to get even with Jerry.  He planted a poison
  125.         needle in Jerrys favorite crop knowing that Jerry would use the
  126.         crop while exercizing the Cab Companies horses on Tuesday night.

  182.         played with many of the lawyers and bankers in the area.

  188.         Jerry was suppose to meet him on Friday.  Jerry had applied for

  191.         though.

  224.         the bank late Friday morning after Jerry had come by the Cab
  225.         Company to collect his wages.
