  1.                          INSTRUCTIONS
  2.  
  3. Monte Carlo is a solitaire card game. The objective of the game is to 
  4. remove all the cards from the tableau.
  5.  
  6. The computer will deal five rows of five cards each. The player 
  7. discards cards in pairs of the same rank, provided the two cards of the
  8. pair are adjacent in a row, a column, or a diagonal. The removal of a 
  9. card does not make the two cards beside it "adjacent".
  10.  
  11. After removing all possible pairs, the computer will consolidate the 
  12. tableau. That is, it will back up the remaining cards so as to make 
  13. the rows solid as far as the cards go, from top down. The computer will
  14. keep the cards in the same order as they were dealt, reading from left 
  15. to right and from the top row down. That is it will push the cards in
  16. the highest incomplete row leftward, then fill out the row with cards
  17. taken one-by-one from the left end of the row below, then dealing cards 
  18. from the deck so as to fill it out to 25 cards, and resume play.

  20. After the card deck is exhausted, the computer will consolidate the 
  21. tableau each time all possible plays have been made.
