  2. Place Codes
  3.  
  4.         The Place Codes are only found in the Person Database and
  5. are used to help sort Tiny Tafels and some reports.  The codes are 
  6. only used with Birth, Death, and Burial/Cremation places.  You are 
  7. given four 26-character long fields to enter each place.  To the right of 
  8. each of these lines is a 1-character field...This is the Place Code field.  
  9. It looks a little like this:

  12.                 : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x
  13.                 : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x
  14.                 : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x

  16.         If you press the Help Key (F1) while the cursor is in one of
  17. the place code fields, a box will show you the four defined codes.  The 
  18. four codes are:

  20.         T = City/Town
  21.         C = County/Parish
  22.         S = State/Province
  23.         N = Country/Nation
  24.  
  25.         The Place Code that you enter is supposed to identify the
  26. type of place that is entered in the line immediately to it's left.  You 
  27. are not limited to the above four codes.  You can enter any character 
  28. you wish.  Also, default place codes can be defined in the Program 
  29. Setup area so that each time you add a new person or use the Gedcom
  30. import function, they will be automatically displayed.
