The Pharaoh's Palace was made of mud brick, just as most homes were. However, the mud brick of the Pharaoh's home was covered with white limestone and painted. The Pharaoh's Palace was many times the size of an average home. It had many different rooms, most of them so large that the ceiling had to be supported by columns.
