These don't belong to the University although [PARA]they do use them regularly. The Union co-ordinates sporting [PARA]clubs and funds them well. The region (the Peak District) is [PARA]well-known for climbing and mountaineering. [EITAL][HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]The University relies heavily on the hire of local amenities[EITAL] (see [ULNE][PARA]Sheffield University[EULNE]), but they also have a fair few facilities of [PARA]their own for a range of indoor and outdoor sports, including a [ITAL][PARA]magnificent [EITAL]indoor climbing wall, 20 acres of playing fields and 2 [PARA]sports halls.
