[ESTAT][PARA][ITAL]Whilst Salford may not be nationally famous for its sporting record, it can boast a pretty good level of facilities and a certain understated success in quite a range of activities. There's also a good level of involvement, although there's a charge for many of the amenities if not used through one of the clubs. [EITAL][PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]SPORTS FACILITIES:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA]There's a leisure centre right next to the Union building for indoor sports including a gym, sports hall, multigym, 6 squash courts and a snooker room. [ITAL]Oh, and the best student climbing wall in the country.[EITAL] On the campus, there are playing fields and all-weather pitches. There's a local swimming pool a mile from the University and in Peel Park, where the campus is based, there's a bowling green.
