It still veers leftwards, but not at the break-neck angle it once did. It has weekly general meetings - too often to be well attended - but it attracts major political speakers from the UK and abroad. The SU thrusts as much energy into making money as making trouble. The School also has a bookshop on its grounds.[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Amnesty; Bangladesh; Cypriot; Debating; East-European; European; Friends of Palestine; Helenic; Hindu; Indian; International societies; Italian;Japanese; Jazz; Law; Lebanese; Luxembourg; Malaysian/Singapore; Meat Eaters; Mexican; Parents; Russian; Scandinavian; Scream; Subbuteo; Tequila (partying - LSE's biggest club); Turkish-Cypriot.[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]The weekly student newspaper 'The Beaver', is published by the SU. The Rag Ball raised รบ2,000 last year.[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 4 chaplains (RC, CofE, Free Church, Jewish)[ESTAT][PARA]Also Buddhist and Muslim facilities.[HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]There are more opportunities in London for part-time work than anywhere else, but there are also more people trying to get those jobs. Students find work in all the usual places like bars and restaurants and also in theatres, offices and shops.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
