It still veers leftwards, but [PARA]not at the break-neck angle it once did. It has weekly general [PARA]meetings - too often to be well attended - but it attracts major [PARA]political speakers from the UK and abroad. The SU thrusts as [PARA]much energy into making money as making trouble. The [PARA]School also has a bookshop on its grounds.[HDNG]CLUBS (NON SPORTING):[EHDNG][PARA]Amnesty; Bangladesh; Cypriot; Debating; East-European; [PARA]European; Friends of Palestine; Helenic; Hindu; Indian; [PARA]International societies; Italian;Japanese; Jazz; Law; Lebanese; [PARA]Luxembourg; Malaysian/Singapore; Meat Eaters; Mexican; [PARA]Parents; Russian; Scandinavian; Scream; Subbuteo; Tequila [PARA](partying - LSE's biggest club); Turkish-Cypriot.[HDNG]OTHER ORGANISATIONS:[EHDNG][PARA]The weekly student newspaper 'The Beaver', is published by the [PARA]SU. The Rag Ball raised รบ2,000 last year.[HDNG]RELIGIOUS:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] 4 chaplains (RC, CofE, Free Church, Jewish)[ESTAT][PARA]Also Buddhist and Muslim facilities.[HDNG]PAID WORK:[EHDNG][PARA][ITAL]There are more opportunities in London for part-time work than [PARA]anywhere else, but there are also more people trying to get those[PARA]jobs. Students find work in all the usual places like bars and [PARA]restaurants and also in theatres, offices and shops.[EITAL][PARA][PARA]
