  1.      SLEAZY MORAL DISCLAIMER

  3. You will quickly noticed that this lexicon contains a wide
  4. range of slang terms, including the vulgar and even obscene.
  5. This was the result of a decision we made only after much
  6. soul-searching, moral discussion, and sniggering. We decided
  7. it would be pointless to omit phrases that are commonly
  8. heard.
  9.  
  10. We are not advocating that users run around foreign
  11. countries spewing nasty words, (and of course if you are
  12. offended by coarse language, read no further and all that).
  13. But it is helpful to know what is meant by words that
  14. one hears--and to know which words to avoid repeating.

  16. Aside from terms here that may be vulgar, crude, or
  17. downright nasty, there are others which, while acceptable,
  18. may have street connotations that would sound like "gutter
  19. talk" in polite company. Others are youth slang and as such
  20. can make your speech sound hip to some or silly and juvenile
  21. to others. It is not a bad idea to follow the example of
  22. your company when using vulgar or street terms, and to ask
  23. someone privately when in doubt.
