- BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
- Plan motor trips on the Interstate Highway System.
-
- DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
- A well-planned trip can not only save you time and money, but
- can insure that your time is spent doing the things you want to do.
- THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER is designed for planning motor trips across
- the contiguous United States using the Interstate Highway System and
- roadways you add to the maps.
- For each day of your trip, you specify an origin city, each
- intermediate city or highway junction along the way, and a final
- destination. Stops for meals, gas, rest, visits, and overnight
- stays can be scheduled as needed. Once an overnight stay is
- planned, you can print an itinerary and an estimate of your expenses
- for the day.
- You can add cities, towns, and highways to the screen maps and
- have access to any place in the country. These new features can be
- used in the current run of the program only, or added to the perman-
- ent data files.
- The program also displays individual maps of 40 major cities.
- With these, you can find routes around a city or locate places you
- want to visit in them. They show major highways; features, such as
- lakes and rivers; selected points of interest; and population and
- weather information.
