- ... README.1ST ...
-
- Thank you for taking a look at THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER. I hope you
- will find it useful and want to add it to your software library.
- The licensing terms for the program can be found in the file
- REGISTER.DOC. Once the program has been installed, please read this
- file. This is version 1.1 of the program.
-
- This program requires an IBM or IBM compatible PC, 512K of RAM, an
- EGA or VGA color graphics adapter, DOS 3.3+, a hard drive, and a
- floppy drive. A mouse is optional.
-
- To install the program on your hard disk, enter the following
- command, specifying the floppy drive which contains the distribution
- diskette, and follow the instructions shown on the screen-
-
- A:INSTALL (or B:INSTALL)
-
- The compressed program files will self-extract and be placed in the
- default directory or one you specify. If the files are distributed
- on two 360K diskettes, then each one should be installed to the same
- directory (run INSTALL.BAT from each diskette).
-
- To run the program, make the directory containing the program files
- the default directory (cd ist11, for example), key-in IST, and press
- ENTER.
-
- To get into the program quickly and see what it can do, read the
- SAMPLE.RUN file. It will give you a brief overview of the program
- and the steps of a sample run you can make. With this information
- and the on-line help, you should be able to take a good look at the
- features of the program.
-
- Please remember that this is a user-supported product and requires
- the payment of a registration fee should you wish to continue using
- it after a reasonable trial period.
