  1. Explanation of the FASTOPEN command. 
  2. It is EXTERNAL.

  4. This command starts the Fastopen program, 
  5. which will decrease the amount of time 
  6. needed to open frequently used files.
  7.  
  8. Example:
  9.        To let fastopen work with 48 files 
  10.       at a time on
  11.        drive C you type the following:
  12.            fastopen c:=48 
  13.        The maximum number for 48 is 999 
  14.        and the minimum is 10.
