  1. Explanation of the EXPAND command. 
  2. It is EXTERNAL.

  4. This command will expand a compressed 
  5. MS-DOS 5.0 file.
  6.  
  7. Example:
  8.        If you erase SORT.EXE on your 
  9.        hard drive, you just take the 
  10.        original DOS disks and find out 
  11.        there the SORT.EX_ file is in one 
  12.        of the compressed files. After you 
  13.        do that you can do the following:
  14.             expand a:\sort.ex_ c:\dos\sort.exe
