- I am looking for advice regarding transfer of music to conventional
- audio CD. I would be grateful for any *E-MAIL* responses, as our newsfeed
- is still broken! (Naturally, I will post a summary of replies in case anyone
- else is interested).
-
- The source material is still on multi-track, I will be mixing down next
- week. Am I correct in assuming that the DAT master should be recorded
- at 44.1kHz and not at the more usual 48kHz? What sort of test tones will
- be expected to be on the DAT? Would the transfer to CD use the ID markers
- on the DAT to build an index, or is this a separate process?
-
- Can anyone recommend specific CD mastering and pressing plants? How much
- should it cost (say, pressing runs of 200)?
-
- Thanks in advance for any E-MAIL help...
