- A friend of mine suggested a possible reason for this. Many cars and
- trucks nowadays have electronic fuel injection and have sensors monitoring
- the exhaust gases. One of these may be an oxygen sensor.

- If oxygenated gas changes the amount of oxygen in the exhaust, then the
- sensor reads it and the computer controlling the fuel injection system may
- not work properly resulting in a decrease in mileage.......
