  19. A friend of mine suggested a possible reason for this.  Many cars and 
  20. trucks nowadays have electronic fuel injection and have sensors monitoring 
  21. the exhaust gases.  One of these may be an oxygen sensor.

  23. If oxygenated gas changes the amount of oxygen in the exhaust, then the 
  24. sensor reads it and the computer controlling the fuel injection system may 
  25. not work properly resulting in a decrease in mileage.......
