- Subjects such as abortion, rape and evolution tend to degenerate into
- flame wars. So the talk hierarchy is designed to give people who want to
- talk about those subjects a place to go. There is a real need for the talk
- groups. Experience will show that it isn't 'good' to talk about rape in
- other groups.

- Most people who post here are genuinely interested in stopping or reducing
- rape. But, like war, those who talk about the subject tend to disagree
- strongly with each other's views, and belive that those views actually
- increase te problem. So we have flame wars.
