  11. I just received an e-mail from Richard A. Schumacher. Although he made a
  12. public show of saying "goodbye" to me in a recent post on this
  13. newsgroup, he has apparently only "gone underground."
  14.  
  15. Judging from the content of his unspeakably blasphemous letter, this is
  16. understandable. If I were he, I also would not want a lot of people to
  17. see the kind of things that letter contained.
  18.  
  19. However, since the God he rages against lives in his own heart, this
  20. letter is already public knowledge in the ruling circles of the
  21. universe.
  22.  
  23. It is characteristic of the unregenerate that they cannot long maintain
  24. peace of mind when constantly reminded of the presence of God and the
  25. necessity of surrendering to Him. Every time Schumacher and persons like
  26. him read my posts, they are reminded of this. It is natural, therefore,
  27. that such persons, hounded by the thought of the Lord, Whom they hate
  28. with all their hearts, eventually lose their carefully maintained
  29. pretense of decency and become like roaring beasts, fit only to be
  30. hunted and killed by other, stronger beasts.

  32. What did I expect? The majority of the participants in this newsgroup
  33. follow a doctrine that places us all on the level of beasts. And the
  34. doctrines a man follows determine his actions and his fate.

  36. Beast eats beast, but those who love God are never vanquished. Animal
  37. torments animal, but the Lord's devotees are always transcendental. This
  38. is the causeless mercy of God, and no one can understand it. It is known
  39. that God is impartial, that He neither favors nor hates anyone. However,
  40. it is also known that He is the protector of those who love Him and the
  41. annihilator of those who do not.

  43. At the end of our present life, all-powerful Time appears before us in
  44. the form of the lord of death, Yamaraja. If we are devotees, if we have
  45. done our best to rekindle our forgotten relationship with the Lord, if
  46. we have glorified His name, if we have looked favorably on His service -
  47. if we have done these things then Yamaraja will not detain us.

  49. But if we have not followed these simple rules, which are the trademark
  50. of all who are fit to be called "human" - if instead we have spent our
  51. lives as beasts, envying God and His servants, determined to destroy
  52. what we cannot exist without - if we have lived this way, then we will
  53. be taken by Yamaraja to a place just suited to the mentality of beasts,
  54. and there we will experience the full implementation of our own
  55. doctrines upon ourselves.

  57. As Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad-Gita:

  59.         Bewildered by false ego, strength, pride, lust and anger, the
  60.         demons become envious of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who
  61.         is situated in their own bodies and in the bodies of others, and
  62.         blaspheme against the real religion.

  64.         Those who are envious and mischievous, who are the lowest among
  65.         men, I perpetually cast into the ocean of material existence,
  66.         into various demoniac species of life.
  67.  
  68.         Attaining repeated birth amongst the species of demoniac life, O
  69.         son of Kunti, such persons can never approach Me. Gradually they
  70.         sink down to the most abominable type of existence.
