- Trouble with this analysis is the "collective dose of TMI" is actually
- unknown because the amount of radioactive material released is unknown.
- The instruments at TMI were disabled during some releases and
- off the scale during others.

- Presumably there is a rather solid ceiling on the total collective
- dose from TMI as the total inventory of the reactor is
- known and we have a pretty good idea how much was not released.
- As there is a factor of 1000 room for error before one can avoid
- concluding the entire US mortality rate is due to radiation exposure,
- that would indicate fairly well that something is wrong.
