- So true, especially of engineers. I can't tell you how many times I've
- complained of the maddening high-pitched whine from a terminal or monitor,
- and been met with the blank query "What high-pitched noise?"

- Presumably if they ever had any high-end hearing at all, it had been
- eliminated by years of working with noisy defective equipment. I bet X is
- behind it.
