  29. I noticed this in checking for my name....  I'm firmly pro-choice the
  30. first two trimesters, though I'd only describe myself as "fiercely"
  31. pro-choice in the first trimester....

  33. Anyway, I actually think Doug was fairly clear above -- "just about
  34. every pro-choice" sounds to me like "almost all pro-choicers" [that
  35. he's met on t.a].

  42. Doug actually has a point about the pro-choicers on talk.abortion, imo
  43. -- but *not* the pro-choice movement in general.  I think that the
  44. people on t.a. on both sides tend to be the extremists, because you're
  45. much more likely to spend time arguing about the subject in a forum
  46. where you're making little if any difference if you feel very strongly
  47. about abortion, and the people who feel very strongly about abortion
  48. tend to be extremists.  So by and large on talk.abortion you've got
  49. the only-health-or-life-of-mother pro-lifers and the
  50. abortion-on-demand pro-choicers.
