  13. >>That they go to private schools is
  14. >>irrelevant, since you're paying for the education, not the school.
  15. >
  16. >Same thing.  If that private school "education" includes religious
  17. >bullshit, racial bigotry and exclusion, or such other weirdness, then
  18. >that is EXACTLY what I fear about school "vouchers" for private schools.
  19.
  20. If you are going to restrict other people from practicing "religious bullshit"
  21. and other weirdness with tax dollars, then we should be able to restrict other
  22. people from practicing "condom distribution" and other such nonsense.  See,
  23. you can't restrict one group's freedom without restricting (presumedly)
  24. your own.  Think about it.
  25.
  26. >
  27. >If such crap is part of ANY school curriculum, private or public, then
  28. >it has no business being supported by taxpayer money.
  29.
  30. This is your opionion; I have mine.  They both should be supported by the
  31. state or none at all, which would be bad for both of us.  People have to
  32. learn to live with (not love) each other.
  33.
  34. >Good point that I can't answer.  I hope that Pell grants are awarded to
  35. >private universities, which universities satisfy basic criteria
  36. >eliminating religious indoctrination or racial hatred such as Bob Jones
  37.
  38. Indoctrination is a very emotionally-charged word; try "education."  There is
  39. nothing wrong with religious education.
  40.
  41. >University.
  42. >
  43. >>>Let's not forget that many of these PRIVATE schools are religious
  44. >>>brain-dead robot makers, and I'm surprised Craig thinks the public
  45. >>>should pay for religious instruction...
  46.
  47. Many PUBLIC schools are secular brain-dead robot makers and it's sometimes
  48. a shame that ANY ONE pays for it.
  49.
  50. Just my $.02.
