  25. While I understand that a skin cell does not have the capacity in
  26. question, I fail to understand why you would claim an unfertilized egg
  27. or sperm does not.  Are you in fact claiming that it is the union of
  28. sperm and egg that makes them sacred?  If your Pope declared that
  29. sperm and egg were sacred, would you support him then?  Why not
  30. declare each sacred and begin forcing all persons to protect those
  31. precious sperm and eggs?  Why should we base state intervention on
  32. your arbitrary decision that fertilized eggs are sacred but sperm and
  33. unfertilized eggs are not?  How about if you decide whether a
  34. fertilized egg in your body is sacred and other women be allowed to
  35. make that same choice for themselves?
