  22. Well, yes, actually.  I think that the reported stats are somewhere
  23. around 1.4 million.  The 1.5 million and 1.6 million numbers seem to
  24. be speculation or fabrication (perhaps others would like to describe
  25. "fabrication" as "extrapolation").

  27. But numbers do not make the problem, nor do they make the problem
  28. worse or better.  First, we should examine if there is indeed a 
  29. problem (magnitude is not important), identify the problem, and if
  30. a problem exists direct efforts at that, rather than at numbers.

  32. Shoot, we could reduce the rate of abortion to zero if we killed 
  33. all the women.  It's all in the way you look at it...
