  40. To be consistent we'd better insist that any public funding for abortions
  41. only be used in public clinics.

  49. Perhaps you realize that we could no more afford to send *everyone* to a
  50. "good" private school (without raising taxes) than we could afford to provide
  51. better public schools than we now do.  Making a child's educational
  52. opportunity strongly dependant upon their *parents'* finnancial situation
  53. would destroy the whole *point* of public education and perpetuate the cycle
  54. of poverty.  (See an earlier response of mine for a longer explanation of why
  55. this would occur.)
