The meddling that the Vatican did in the past was actually good in bringing
about several anti-KKK laws.  Remember, the KKK (and several other factions of
lily-white America) didn't much care for us either.

Coulda been worse.  I'd rather have the Pope telling me what Church doctrine
is than the gun, thought, and speech control people legislating what I may and
may not do with my life.

Ya see, if you don't follow the Pope, you have two choices.  You can go to
confession, or you can go to hell.  With the latter group, you either do as
they say, or you will go to jail.

Maybe you could clarify yours.  I thought your post was something about tax
breaks the Church doesn't need to build its cathedrals.  I merely stated that
all Catholics cannot build cathedrals, as we don't all have the cash, tax
breaks or no.  Sorry for confusing you.
