- I'm looking for suggestions on how to tactfully approach the following family.
-
- Here in Arizona, we have a "gentleman" on death-row who is fighting his auto-
- matic appeals (I believe we have someone on this list from NAU who is familiar
- with this story). Anyhow, the person he killed was his pregnant girlfriend,
- who just happens to have the name BRIER. Back a few generations, the family
- of one of my cousins changed their name from MCBRAYER (or variant) to BRIER.
- For those of us who have taken math classes, 1 and 1 usually adds up to 2, so
- the odds that her family is related to me (although distantly), I feel, are
- fairly good.
-
- Is there a tactful way to approach them? The information that I currently
- have access to may not be sufficient to provide a link (ie, the info I have
- on the BRIERs may end a few generations or cousins removed from them). I'm
- not planning to do this any time soon, but any tips would be appreciated a
- great deal. (Oh, this murder took place a year or two ago...1991 or before?)
-
- Thanks,
