  13. Today I received a letter from somebody in New Zealand, in which she
  14. asked for my help in finding a long-lost relative.  Presumably she
  15. does not have access to Internet, so I am posting this request on her
  16. behalf... please reply to me and I'll forward what information I receive
  17. back to her.

  19. To get to the details, she has inherited an address book that belonged
  20. to her grandparents.  In it is recorded the following:

  22.    J. Pike, 44 Wolfe Street, Sherbrooke, Quebec

  24. It seems that this person had a prior address in Sherbrooke (this address
  25. being crossed out but still readable):

  27.    c/- Mrs Haghurst, 22A Wellington Street, Sherbrooke

  29. I do not expect that anybody who reads this will know who these people
  30. are.  Hence I would like to request that anybody with access to a
  31. telephone directory for Sherbrooke to send me a list of Pike (and maybe
  32. also Haghurst, if there aren't too many) entries.

  34. I would also be thankful for any addresses of Anglican Churches in
  35. Sherbrooke... I don't know that J. Pike was Anglican, but it is believed
  36. he had emigrated from England, which makes this somewhat likely.

  38. While I'm at it, could I also ask for the address of the local land
  39. registry office?
  40.  
  41. Finally, any suggestions regarding who else might be contacted in 
  42. Sherbrooke would be welcome.
