-
- First, this is a world-wide group, and if anyone has the ability
- to send Email to the ROOTS-L Mailing List they are welcome.
-
- We do not limit access to anyone / anywhere. Anyone may SUB to
- this list or SIGNOFF as they wish.
-
- About 4 years ago it was requested that users limit the size of
- ROOTS-L mailing list message to about 10-15,000 bytes.
- Of course most of them are only about 1/2 page.
-
- This upper limit seems to be about the right size, and most readers
- do concur. If you later get a match of a surname, you may send
- DIRECT email to that person.
-
- All the questions, comments, letters, and requests which have ever
- been on ROOTS-L are still available for search and research to those
- who want to send a 'request message'.
-
- The GENEALOG area has about 6megs of files now, all in ASCII, and
- one of them tells how to do these kinds of search for information and
- or surnames of interest.
-
- Those interested may request the GENEALOG file: srchfile by sending
- the following line to: listserv@vm1.nodak.edu
-
- GET GENEALOG srchfile
-
- Good luck to all.
