- The people I'm thinking of have full, interesting lives. They have
- interesting jobs and/or graduate research, interesting hobbies, and
- good friends. The only thing they don't have is an SO, because none
- of the people who they interact with in their social circles is
- compatible in that way. The only reason they would have to get
- involved in something new would be to find an SO, and I couldn't see
- that happening (for one thing, they'd have to give up an activity they
- really liked).
