  15. In the USA, CP's applying for Aid to Families with Dependent Children
  16. (welfare for you non-politically-correct folks :) ) must disclose the
  17. names of the assumed NCP's of the child(ren) or face a sanction for
  18. "non-cooperation".  The sanction is the reduction of the welfare grant
  19. by approximately 1/3.  Waivers are granted for "good cause", such as
  20. molestation accusations and the like.

  22. There is a carrot as well as a stick.  If an order is entered against
  23. the NCP and the NCP pays, the grant is increased by up to $50/month.
  24. (That's total, not $50 per child).
