  21. At Northwestern, the campus bar's official title (I believe) was The
  22. Gathering Place, although everyone knew it simply as The Bar. The Bar closed
  23. down last year due to too many underage students getting in and rapidly
  24. declining attendance, so yes, I would venture to say that a campus bar is not
  25. such a social centre (unless it doesn't card). There are, however, certain
  26. off-campus bars that are considered to be hot spots. I think there is somewhat
  27. of a contradiction in a campus-sponsored bar where the majority of students
  28. are underage, and that is why off-campus joints seem to be livelier. I'd like
  29. to hear what anyone else has to say about this.
