  23. Let me try.  Like a gay male character (or crypto-gay) in an E.M. Forster
  24. novel.  Traditionalist, anti-feminist, well-to-do, and often in the closet.
  25. But when these guys do come out, they do a world of good for gay rights.
  26. When Marvin Liebmann's book, "Coming out conservative", comes out in 
  27. paperback, I'm gonna buy it.

  29. So I guess I'm glad that they're around to help gay rights, but I fight
  30. with them so much over women's issues and other political matters, that I
  31. can't get along with them.  The University of Chicago has lots and lots and
  32. lots of them, but not many are out.

  34. By the way, the two recent flames I got on soc.motss was when I said 
  35. something good about Darrell Yates Rist (who is critical of the "gayness
  36. is biological" theories), and when I wanted to talk about a conservative
  37. gay male professor (Allan Bloom) at the U of C, who had died.
