- I'm looking for a reliable discount broker with low rates for
- buying and selling Canadian stocks on the Vancouver and Toronto
- exchanges -- preferably, but not necessarily, with a branch office
- in the Seattle area.
-
- My broker (Freeman-Wellwood) charges an extra 10 cents a share over
- their normal commission on each buy and sell. That is a rip-off
- considering the stock I am buying (Advanced Gravis, AED on the
- Canadian exchanges) is only about $2.15 (American) and I will end
- up paying about 10% commission on the buy and sell.
-
- I know there are some small brokers with questionable reliability
- associated with the Vancouver penny-stock market, so I would prefer
- to deal with a large, well-known, reputable firm.
