- No. But the point of mitochondrial DNA is that you inherit it from your
- mother and you can only pass it on when you are female. So the sons and
- daughters of "Eve" (it _is_ a misleading term, but only for bible-lovers)
- mated with different persons, but only Eve's daughters passed on the Mito's.
