  26. No. But the point of mitochondrial DNA is that you inherit it from your
  27. mother and you can only pass it on when you are female. So the sons and
  28. daughters of "Eve" (it _is_ a misleading term, but only for bible-lovers)
  29. mated with different persons, but only Eve's daughters passed on the Mito's.
