- Hi. A friend of mine is in a deep depression and has went to
- psychologists for help, and they have said that she needs to be
- sent to a place called "Charter". What is Charter? She has told
- me that its a place that has high fences with spikes on the top and
- once you're sent there its hard to get out. She also said that you
- have to wear their clothes (that are like jail clothes) and you cannot
- have any visitors, not even your family. And no phone calls or mail
- either.
-
- Is all of this true? Suppose her parents did send her there. What
- are her chances of getting out? And why do they shut out their
- patients from the outside world like that? (if its true) Any replies
- would be greatly appreciated.
