  14. than-light effects and relativity that he posted in the Star Trek
  15. conference. I did not know that conference existed.

  20. The point is that causality itself may well be wrong. Godel, Hoyle and most
  21. recently Kip Thorne \Igor Novikov et-al in the papers on traversable
  22. wormholes have shown why.

  24. Your paper does not distinguish between causality violation and causal
  25. anomalies (paradoxes). The universe may be causality-violating without
  26. causal anomalies - in fact I suspect that is the case.

  28. To say that the universe is causality-violating means frame-invariant
  29. communication on the quantum connection (without mass transport) both
  30. outside the light cone and also backwards in time over timelike interval.
  31. Both spacelike and future to past time like communication are
  32. frame-invariant ideas. The point is to renounce the prejudice that causes
  33. are always before effects. That is what is wrong.

  35. A causal anomaly is logically different from causality violation. Thorne
  36. et-al show it is possible, in fact true in model quantum calculations, that
  37. when there is causality violation there are no anomalies. To put it simply
  38. your free will is destroyed if you are in a causality violating loop in time
  39. and you try to create a paradox. A machine will malfunction in order to
  40. avoid a paradox. This is similar to Pauli exclusion principle. All Feynman
  41. path amplitudes that describe inconsistent histories vanish!

  43. It is true, however, that the unitarity of time-evolution in standard
  44. quantum mechanics combined with the orthogonality of the single-particle
  45. states in the entangled pair state does inhibit quantum connection
  46. communication outside the light cone and backwards from the future over a
  47. timelike interval. However, it does seem possible to formulate a variation
  48. on standard quantum mechanics that is minimally non-unitary but still
  49. conserves probability. It also may be possible to create pair states with
  50. non-orthogonal coherent states (actually two sets of multi-particle systems
  51. in an extended notion of "pair") that may allow connection communication
  52. even in unitary standard quantum mechanics. I suspect that nature actually
  53. uses connection communication to create the universe from the future. I also
  54. suspect that conscious minds use it automatically (see Penrose, Emperor's
  55. New Mind). Connection communication would permit the "subspace
  56. communication" of the Star Trek precognition of our coming future.     .
